A society of convenience In the days of TV dinners and instant meals, of chicken tenders and curly fries, of excessive sugars and processed foods, of cigarettes and alcohol, we often choose convenience, fashion, or indulgence, over health. Few people realize the toxins that are in many of things we put into our bodies. God provided natural foods for us to consume, and basic instructions on how to care for ourselves. While may of us may have faith, faith without accompanying action is ineffective. Therefore we have a very real responsibility ourselves to do what we can to care for ourselves. A problem... Unfortunately, in today’s American society where there is a disproportionate distribution of wealth, what is convenient can also be what is inexpensive, so we choose the 99 cent menu, not because we don’t care about our health, but because we may feel helpless about any other option. Let's be honest, 'healthy' usually equates to 'more expensive'. Just look at the prices of the organic section of your neighborhood grocery store. For some, the reality may be that the food we consume is dictated by what’s in our pockets. (And for some that are in that situation, what we find in our pockets may only be what’s left over after we needlessly spend on lottery tickets, junk food, tasteless entertainment….) MMM3 wants to change that. Are you worth it? In days where technology is creating newer, smaller, fancier, bigger, clearer, sharper, and more glamorous, we find ourselves stuck in front of our widescreen high-definition televisions, with a remote control in one hand, cell phone in the other, and iPod in our laps (for the commercial breaks of course)— ignoring the beauty and the healing properties of nature that are right outside our windows all the time. The point has to come when you ask yourself, what am I worth? It may cost a few dollars more to buy organic, but who can put a quantitative value on the health benefits it will provide? When you get sick, your expensive hi-def tv will do little to help heal you. Our mission: Ultimately, our goal is to heal the people to make us equal. Throughout this site, you will encounter various means to improve your quality of life. We encourage you, even if you don’t partake in what we’re offering you on this site, to take a step back and look at your own health, both physically and spiritually. Walk outside and enjoy the sunshine. Take a deep breath of fresh air. Appreciate the creation of God. Eat of the food that God has provided. (If you're familiar with your history, Jesus never multiplied 5,000 french fries, now did He?) Put down the soda pop and pick up some water. Not only that, but if someone is thirsty, give them some water. If someone is hungry, give them some food. MMM3 is about family, about sharing, about support. MMM3 is about men working together, not stepping on each other to get ahead; about women building each other up, not tearing each other down. The vision of MMM3 is to see all people united as one, with each one living life to the fullest. Come eat with us. |
